Obituary for Judith L. DeFriend 80 passed away May 13, 2018 at the Historic Villages of Silvercrest New Albany IN. A native of Chicago, ILL she spent 20 years in Minnesota before moving to Floyds Knobs IN. She was a horseshow mom, saddle club member, and enjoyed trail riding.

She was 30 year member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and the acting secretary and board member for Billboards for Life a Pro-Life advocacy group. She was preceded in death by her son, James DeFriend and sister, Lorraine Koch. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John F. DeFriend; daughter, Julie M. DeFriend; brothers, George, David, and Robert Stangle; and sister, Shirley Koepke.

A Tridentine Mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday May 19, 2018 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church 639 South Shelby St. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
