On Monday, December 3, 2018, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Judy Burton, passed away at the age of 72. Judy was born on May 7, 1946 to Jack C. Schofield and Lorraine Weaver Schofield and was the first of seven daughters and one stillborn brother. Judy spent the majority of her life in Kaysville and the last part of her life in Farmington.

She attended schools in Kaysville, graduating from Davis High in 1964 and later Bountiful Beauty School. She married Robert Burton in 1964 (later divorced) and they had 4 wonderful children; Kim, (Michael) Todd, Brandon and Stacey. Judy had a very warm and caring personality and was very popular with friends and neighbors.

After graduating from beauty school, she developed a large following of customers; winning several awards, managing local salons and a home salon for many years. Judy went on to attend Weber State University where she graduated with a degree in Technical Sales. Working at RC Willey provided an opportunity for her talents in sales and interior design to shine.

Christmas was her favorite time of year. When she was not listening to Christmas music, she spent her time making homemade gingerbread houses and cookies with her children and helping her mother make hand-dipped chocolates. Judy was active in the LDS church throughout her life loved singing in ward choir and working in various ward callings.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and brother, daughter Kim Burton Liquori, son Michael Todd Burton, and sister Jacque Beens. She is survived by her son Brandon Burton, daughter Stacey Burton Harrison, Jill (John) Smith, Jolene Frazier, Jennifer (Craig) Jacobsen, Jerilyn (Dan) Pulido, and Jana Norberg, many nieces and nephews and their families, her four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No.

Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
