Judy Darlene Elliott Hammond, 74, of Bentonville, was taken by God’s hands on Monday, April 23, 2018. Born in Xenia on May 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude ‘Gregg’ Elliott. Judy is preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Gregg, who raised her.

Judy worked in housekeeping at Clinton Memorial Hospital for 17 years. She enjoyed frequently visiting flea markets. Judy is survived by her husband, Wayne E. Hammond.

The two were married 57 years. In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her children: Tracey (Tom) Morgan of Manchester, Wayne Hammond of Bentonville, Gina (Kevin) Pinkerton and Tim (Tracie) Hammond, all of Leesburg. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Joey Maxfield, Anna Chamblin, Wyatt Hammond, Heather Pinkerton, Stephanie Knoche, Sasha Grooms, and TJ Hammond; 12 great grandchildren, with one on the way; and two sisters, Joyce and Geraldine of Arizona; along with numerous additional loved ones.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from 2-3pm, when a memorial service will begin. Judy was passionate about not wanting flowers for her service. She’d always said she would prefer to enjoy them while she was living.

Please honor Judy’s wishes, the presence of family and friends is all that is desired.
