James Paul Bernard, 72, of Sabina, passed away at home on Saturday afternoon May 26, 2018. Born on February 9, 1946 the son of Thomas B. and Helen Heininger. He is survived by his wife Linda Pinkerton Kerr Bernard He was a Sabina High School graduate, entered the Army and served from 1965-67.

A lifelong farmer, raising hogs and an avid Hampshire Breeder. Jim was a past Wilson Township Trustee, served on the Producers Livestock Board and well as the Clinton County Co-op Board. A 4-H advisor with the Sabina Blue Ribbon Winners for over 30 years.

Also a member of the Spring Grove UMC and the Wilmington American Legion. He is survived by his children, Brett P. (Chrissy) and T.J. (Tansy) Bernard. Step children, Kris Kerr, Craig Kerr and Leslie Kerr (Tom) Wilmes.

Grandchildren, Stacy Nicole, Gretchen Lyn, Zachary Thomas and Denver Paul Bernard. Holly Beth and Brantly Jack Bernard. Alyssa Christine and Brooke Emily Yerian, Taylor Wilmes and Lindsay (Dustin) Flowers.

A great granddaughter, Tessa Flowers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his first wife, Sharon Wolfe Bernard, January 6, 2000. A visitation will be on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 10:00 until Noon, when a funeral service will begin at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.

A private family burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice.
