Obituary for Julia Ethel Matway Julia Ethel ‘Jaye’ Matway, 86, of Craven Hill (Charleroi) and Palm Beach, FL, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018. A daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Ferencz Girhing, she was born in Grindstone on May 22, 1932. Jaye was a member of St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church of Palm Beach, FL and Mary, Mother of the Church of Charleroi.

She was an avid golfer and loved entertaining and playing cards. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Overton of Amelia Island, FL and Lori and Ross Rao of Naples, FL, two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Victoria Matway of Plainfield, IL and Ryan and Mary Matway of Palm Beach, FL and six grandchildren, Alexandra, Olivia and Richard Eric Matway, John Ross and Richard Andrew Rao. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Matway on April 3, 2006, three sisters, Elizabeth Girhing, Emma Bennecio and Margaret Gocella and two brothers, Bernard Girhiny and Julius Girhiny.

Friends will be received 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. www. FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com 724-929-5300.

Family and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 A.M. Thursday and proceed to Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi for a 10 A.M. Funeral Mass with Rev. Gerald Mikonis and Rev. William Terza as co celebrants.
