Obituary for Carl Rudolph Kobosky Carl Rudolph Kobosky, 76, of Belle Vernon, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Walter and Catherine Anderson Kobosky, he was born in N. Charleroi on March 14, 1942. Carl was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church, Mon Valley Country Club, the Belle Vernon Moose, Charleroi F. & A.M. Lodge 615, Scottish Rite, Shriners, Royal Order of Scotland, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Naomi Athletic Club.

He attended Penn State University and was a Captain for the former T.W.A. for 25 years, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in the Netherlands for four years and retired on 9/11 after piloting the Royal family of Saudi Arabia. An avid worldwide traveler, hunter, golfer and sports fan, Carl also was a former owner, trainer and driver at the Meadows Racetrack and County Fairs. For several years he coached and refereed high school hockey.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and David Smail of New Stanton, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Rhonda Kobosky of Belle Vernon and Rudolph Kobosky of Delmont, one brother and sister-in-law, Arvid and Kathleen Kobosky of Belle Vernon, two grandchildren, Jaime Kobosky and Wesley Kobosky, and three great grandchildren, Connor, Dominic and Easton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Lahti Kobosky on December 6, 2014 and a daughter-in-law, Amy Kobosky on March 14, 2018. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 14, 2018 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon www.

Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The F. & A.M. Lodge 615 will meet in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:15 P.M. to hold services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carl’s name to your local Humane Society.
