Mabel E. Popp, 88, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, July 29, 2018 in Mon Valley Care Center. Born in California, PA on October 18, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Beulah (Reichard) Furlong. Mabel and her husband attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and she worked with him in their family business.

She was a member of the former Pricedale Union Church and was past president of the Climbers Class, was the Sunday School Treasurer and sang in the choir. She was also a member and past president of the Fellsburg Women’s Club and played 500 bid in numerous card clubs. Mabel was a nice person and loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Raymond D. Popp; sons, David (Linda) Popp of Monessen and John Eric (Leslie) Popp of Collinsburg; daughters, Janet (Larry) Mandarino of Monessen and Connie (James) Swailes of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Matthew (Carola) Mandarino, Philip Mandarino, Jordon Popp, Cayla Popp, Chris (Katie) Swailes, Sarah Swailes and Kelly (Richard) Jones; great grandchildren, Cadence Mandarino, Colin Mandarino, James Swailes and Henry Swailes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Caitlin Swailes; brother, Harry Furlong; and sister, Doris Moon. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.

jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11a.m. with Pastor Bill Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice Care team and her personal caregiver, Linda Bryan, for the compassionate care given during Mabel’s illness.
