Dorothy A. Dalola Pekar, 77, of Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 15, 1941 in New Eagle, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Rhea Hepner Dalola. A resident of Belle Vernon for over 20 years, Mrs. Pekar was a member of St. Sebastian RC Church and was retired from Mon Valley Hospital where she worked in the dietary department.

She also enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, watching TV game shows and playing bingo. She is survived by two sisters & brothers in law Helen & Kent LaPresti of Monongahela, Frances & Michael Kotora of Belle Vernon; nieces and nephews Craig & Leann LaPresti, Mark & Lisa LaPresti, Michael & Niki Kotora, Michelle Kotora, John Kotora and great nieces & great nephews Anthony, Tyler & Allie LaPresti and Elizabeth and Sarah Kotora. She is preceded in death by her first husband William Surovchak; second husband Joseph Pekar and a sister Sandra Pearce.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Francisco R. Gan Jr. Pastor of St. Sebastian R.C. Church officiating.

Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Dorothy Pekar Sunday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
