Obituary for Julia Ramsey (Johnson) Julia Mae Ramsey, 91, of Battle Creek passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018. She was born June 5, 1927 in Toledo, OH the daughter of Wiley and Dorma (Sheehy) Johnson. Julia married the late James Ramsey on October 6, 1950 in Angola, Indiana.

She worked as an LPN for the Battle Creek VA Medical Center for 26 years before her retirement in 2001. Julia was an avid reader, liked to attend theatrical productions, and travel. She was a member of Central Christian Church.

She is survived by her children, Richard Penny, James (Becky) Ramsey, Jr., Carole (Jim) Gay, and Dr. Barbara (Timothy) McConnell; sisters, Maxine (Austin) Keithley and Lena (Delbert) Wagers; 10 Grandchildren; 31 Great grandchildren; and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; daughter, Eileen Rocho; and brother, Paul Johnson. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 20th from 9:00-11:00 AM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gordon Pippin of Central Christian Church officiating.

Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI on Monday, October 22nd at 10:00 AM. Memorial tributes may be made to Central Christian Church.
