Julia Marguerite Fulton December 31, 1917 – December 29, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card FULTON, Julia Marguerite, was born December 31, 1917, in Johnston, South Carolina, and died on Saturday, December 29, 2018, in Richmond, Virginia, two days short of her 101st birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Quinn Fulton and Mary Edwards Fulton; and her brother, Hamilton Quinn “Ham” Fulton. She is survived by her niece, Nancy Fulton Burks and her husband, Don Louis Burks III of Richmond; her nephew, David Hamilton Fulton (Joyce); great-nieces, Gwyn Reed (Ron) and Stacey Fulton; and great-great-nephews, Tommy Fulton and Connor Reed, all of Charlotte, N.C. Miss Fulton worked at West Chemical Products for 45 years, retiring as office manager.

She was a church organist and choir director for many years as well as staff organist at a local funeral home. Miss Fulton was a member of Brookland United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue, where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 3.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the organ fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8100 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, Va. 23111.
