Julia’s Obituary Julia Villarreal Valdez, 76, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2019. She was born on February 11, 1942 to Eliseo and Juanita Villarreal in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her six brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Trinidad Valdez, Jr. and her children, Mary Jane Aguirre (Joe), Frank Valdez (Roxanna), Jimbo Valdez (Vera), Steven Valdez (Sylvia), Betty Jean Sanchez (Fernando), Melinda Cedillo (Adan), and Belinda Valdez Couch, 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Julia was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She was the youngest of nine children.

Julia was a faithful woman to the Lord Jesus Christ and her husband of 57 years. She first came to know the Lord in 2005. Her faith allowed her to stand strong in the most difficult times of her life.

In 2010, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She was healed and walked in confidence as a living testimony of Gods healing power. She was a prayer warrior in the Army of the Lord, praying for her family and others.

She was a proud and loving mother and grandmother. Julia was a proud member of Victory Gospel Chapel for 14 years. She was promoted to Deaconess and later she was promoted to counselor where she was used mightily in her church by her Lord Jesus.

She was a great example of unwavering faith and love. She was a blessing to everyone around her. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Castle Ridge Mortuary.
