Julia A. Newland, 78, of Madison, passed away September 16, 2018 at Madison Health Care. She was born June 20, 1940 in Painesville to Michael and Susanna (Matuz) Kazsmer. She married George F. Newland, Jr. on January 30, 1959.

Julia was a dedicated homemaker, making family her first priority. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. She is survived by husband, George F. Newland, Jr.; daughter, Darlene A. ( Butch) Cline; son, Timothy (Lisa ) Newland; grandson, Charles L. Cline, II.

; granddaughter, Stephanie (Dana) Poling; sister Helen Rose Wetzel; sisters-in-law, Carol Kazsmer and Narda (James) Platt; brothers-in-law, Wayne Newland and William (Fran) Bemis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Michael, Robert and John Kazsmer; sisters Mary Kagy, Elizabeth Saluk, Irene Prezioso, Olga Smith and Eleanor Kazsmer. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd. Madison with Fr. Sean Donnelly as celebrant.

Final Resting Place will be Riverside Cemetery, Painesville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, OH 44110.
