Julian’s Obituary Julian Martinez of Raton, NM passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Julian was born in Raton on April 27, 1935. Julian was married to Madeline Martinez on March 30, 1954; they were married 64 years.

Julian worked as a welder for 30 + years and served in the US Marine Corps. During the Korean Conflict. Julian is survived by his wife Madeline Martinez, three daughters; Linda Alvarado, Julie Munniks and her husband Ron, Janet Martinez and her husband Eric Giron.

Four sons; Steve Martinez, Phil Martinez and his wife Sylvia, Gerald Martinez and his wife Jeannie, Michael Martinez and his wife Jennifer. A brother Joe Martinez and his wife Karen. Two sisters; Margaret Alarid and Olivia Bernal and her husband Andres.

Julian is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 76 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Julian was preceded in death by his father Filadelfio Martinez, his mother Clorinda Alarid and Step-Father Pablo Alarid. Sisters; Rose Medina and Helen Duran a brother Jessie Martinez and his son-in law Tony Alvarado.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St.Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by Deacon Thomas Alderette. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton NM with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Internment will follow at Mt.

Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements for Julian Martinez are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
