Obituary for Julian T. Zepka Julian T. Zepka, 89, of Lansdale PA, passed away peacefully at the home of his loving niece, Lorraine McDaniels, and her husband Marc on April 25, 2018. Born and raised in Passaic, NJ he lived in Garfield for many years before moving to Lansdale, PA in 2008. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Woodrow Wilson #12 and Passaic High School.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the maintenance department at the Passaic County Courthouse in Paterson for ten years. He spent most of his working life in the textile industry. Julian was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was attached to the U.S. Constabulary and served in Occupied Germany immediately after the war from 1946-1948. For three months he played with the Constabulary Squad baseball team. He played first base and played different constabulary teams in Germany.

He was a recipient of the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. Julian was an avid bowler and won numerous championships and awards. In later years he enjoyed an occasional game of golf.

Some of his favorite places to visit were Las Vegas, Atlantic City and the Meadowlands Racetrack where he enjoyed leisure time as a frugal gambler. Julian was predeceased by his parents, Sebastian and Hedwig Zepka, four brothers, Joseph, Peter, Adolph and Martin and three sisters, Sophie (Ralph) West, Jean (Edward) Onischuk and Stella (Edward) Gancarz. He was everyone’s “favorite uncle” and leaves behind many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
