Julienne “Julie” V. Endlich, 89 of Fitchburg was escorted home by angels on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Sylvan Crossing in Fitchburg, WI. She was born on May 27, 1929 to the late Claire and Ethel (nee Christopherson) Edgar in Oshkosh, WI. Julie moved to West Bend when she was thirteen.
She graduated from West Bend High School in 1947. During high school she worked at Boltz Drug Store. There she met Oliver Endlich who was her escort to the Alice in Dairyland pageant where she was a runner up.
They eventually were united in marriage on May 27, 1951 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in West Bend. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel UCC where she was a member of the choir, the women’s circle and the Women’s Guild Kitchen Committee. Upon moving to Madison, she became a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she was welcomed with open arms.
With so much family in the military, she was dedicated to volunteering for veterans’ groups just like her mother before her. Julie passed on her love of the arts to all her daughters and her devotion to family was the foundation of her life. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.
Those Julie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Sandra (Bob) Saul of Madison, WI, Linda Endlich of Madison, WI, and Lisa (Daniel Roncato) Endlich of Philadelphia, PA; a granddaughter, Ariel (Scott Speer) C. Endlich-Frazier; a great-granddaughter, Coraline Amelia Speer; a sister-in-law, Janet Edgar; her sister in heart, June Gordon, her friend of 81 years, her feline friend Spencer, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver L. Endlich; a daughter, Sharon D. Endlich; and two brothers, Douglas Edgar and Ronald (Virginia) Edgar and her beloved cat Ashley. A visitation in memory of Julie will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 West Washington St., West Bend with burial of Julie and her daughter, Sheree, to follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
A Celebration of Life for Julie will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 326 S. Segoe Rd. , Madison, WI, with an ice cream social to follow the service. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Thanks also to Tami the ice cream goddess and to her friend Frankie who brought her so much joy. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or WWF (The World-Wide Fund for Nature) in honor of Julie’s passion for nature where “all things are beautiful in their own way”.
