CHICOPEE: June M. (Ferguson) Ewing, age 90, of Chicopee, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Willimansett Center West in Chicopee. She was born in Chicopee, daughter of the late David B. and Julia (Dausch) Ferguson, and was educated in the local schools. June worshipped at Faith United Methodist Church in Fairview, and enjoyed time with her “coffee club” friends at McDonalds.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Cushing, a granddaughter, Dana Cushing, and her brother, David Ferguson. June is survived by her husband of 71 years, Herbert F. Ewing; three sons: David and wife Francine of Easthampton, Gary and wife Debbie of Belchertown, and Scott and wife Pam of Chicopee; two daughters: Julie Mis and husband Bill of Westfield, and Kristy Dunning and husband Mike of South Hadley; 19 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday, March 16th at 10:30 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 191 Montcalm Street, Chicopee.

Burial will be at a later date in Forestdale Cemetery in Holyoke. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of June to Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, 627 Cottage Street, Springfield MA 01104.
