Junior’s Obituary Junior Loughead, 73, of Lucerne, MO passed away suddenly at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital in Unionville, MO on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Junior Loughead was born on September 27, 1945 in Pennville, MO the son of Julius and Mary (Myers) Loughead. Junior married Betty Carter on March 21, 1977 and she survives at home.

For many years he was known as Pa Pa Dozer by the little ones who loved him. Junior loved his family and loved the Lord. He enjoyed having his family do outdoor activities with him.

He liked to go hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. He was dedicated to his daily reading of the only book he ever read, the Bible. Junior could also fix anything by the way of tinkering.

Junior also had a variety of jobs throughout his life which including farming, trucking, running a bulldozer, and before his retirement, working at PSF. Junior Loughead is survived by a son, Cary Dooley and wife Tammy of Lucerne, MO and a daughter, Rebecca Stinson and husband Aaron of Beaver Crossing, NE. Junior’s surviving grandchildren are July Dooley, Asher Dooley, Daaron Stinson, McKenzie Stinson, Daniel Stinson, and Erika Stinson.

Also surviving are sisters, Helen Wright, Dorothy Hobbs, and Alice Holiday along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by granddaughter, Isabelle Dooley; brother, Leonard; and sisters, Stella, Ruth, Lily, Ethel, Delphine and several siblings in infancy. Funeral services for Junior Loughead will be at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home at 11:30 am on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

Interment will be at the Sprigg Cemetery in Lucerne, MO. Memorials for Junior are suggested to the family and may be entrusted to Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
