Karen Kay Hamlin Jeansonne November 06, 1957 – January 02, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Karen passed away on January 2, 2019 at 11:52 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge at the age of 61. She was a native of Alexandria and resident of Zachary. Karen was a former BREC employee at Farra Park on River Road at the Horse Activity Center.

She an animal lover and they loved her. Per Karen’s wishes, she was cremated. Her family will be accepting visitors on Saturday, January 5th, at Cross Creek Cowboy Church, 21160 Plank Road, Zachary, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a celebration of Karen’s life at 3 p.m., conducted by Pastor Joshua Morris.

Karen is survived by her husband of 30 years, Chad S. Jeansonne of Zachary; three children, Ricky Kinsel of Lake Charles, Randy Kinsel and wife Tanna Rene Kidder Kinsel of Panama City Beach, FL, and Ryan Harper of Zachary; 5 grandchildren who affectionately called her “Granny” and “My Girl”, Chase Kinsel, Candace Kinsel, Nicholas “Tate” Kinsel and Angel Joy Lee Harper, and Ivan Graham; 1 great granddaughter, Aleeyah Graham; siblings, Sandra “Sandy” Hamlin Dupre’ and husband Donald of Beaumont, TX, Charles Edward “Chuck” Hamlin of Prairieville, and Donald “Don” Williams and wife Kristy Brown Williams of Hot Springs, AR, and numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edward Hamlin and Mary Lee Roberts Williams. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to Chad, to be used for Angel’s future.
