Karmela Rose Adkins, 50, of Clayton, NC, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018. She was born January 4, 1968, in Logan, WV, to Shawn and Ronald Green of Bramwell, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Edward Adkins; father-in-law, George Lucion Adkins; brother-in-law, Frank Adkins; nephew, Robert Lane Perry; and niece, Shannon Nicole Adkins.

She later became a Child Nutrition Manager with Johnston County, NC, schools, where she continued working with the children she so loved.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Brandi Wilson, Clayton, NC; grandsons, Kayden Adkins of Clayton, NC; Blayne Wilson, of Clayton, NC; mother and father, Shawn and Ronald Green of Bramwell, WV; sisters, Diane Green (Danny) of Princeton, WV; Teresa Frye (Max) of Coaldale Mountain, WV; Cindy Woods (Thomas) of Switchback, WV; mother-in-law, Delores Adkins, of Nichols, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Freddie Adkins (Angela) of Nichols, SC; Phillip “Bubby” Adkins of Nichols, SC; Lucion “Lou” Adkins (Tammy) of Anderson, SC; Douglas Adkins (Ernie) of Clayton, NC; and Sara Adkins of Wildwood, FL; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Friday, December 7th, at Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church, Lyburn, WV, with Pastor Joey Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.

Friends may call from 6-9 pm, Thursday, December 6th, at the church, and one hour prior to services.
