Obituary for Karol K. Frecks Karol Kay (Beaird) Frecks, 80, of Holdrege, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at CHI Health – Good Samaritan in Kearney. Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden with the Rev. Donald Hunzeker officiating.

Private family interment will be held prior to services at the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Craig Funeral Home in Minden. Karol was born October 13, 1937 in Holdrege, to Lawrence and Iola (Wells) Beaird.

She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Axtell. Karol was united in wedded bliss to Glenn Frecks of Hildreth on October 7, 1962. During her life, she worked at Bethpage Mission, as a cook, at Minden East Elementary School, was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife.

Glenn and Karol were blessed with three children: Kamala, Tracy, and Monte. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Glenn of Holdrege; children, Kamala (Jeff) Carlsen of Lexington Park, MD, Tracy (Bob) McDuffee of Lake In The Hills, IL, Monte (Michelle) Frecks of St. Augustine Fl; eight grandchildren, Harry Carlsen, Karol Carlsen, Astri Carlsen and Hannah Carlsen, all of Lexington Park, MD, James McDuffee of Chicago, IL, Cameron (Brittany) Frecks of Jackson, OH, Nathaniel Frecks, MacKenzie Frecks of St. Augustine, FL; two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Sophia of Jackson, OH; sisters, Shirley (Ron) Urbom, Marcia (Vern) Hasty, Kathy (Royce) Larson, Brenda (Monty) Splitter, Julie (Dan) Jordan as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Iola Beaird, and many uncles and aunts.
