Kathy was born June 3, 1939 in Hatley, WI the daughter of the late Anton and late Stella (Olenski) Pieshalla. On June 22, 1957, she and James “Jim” Heisler Sr. eloped and were married in Pine City, MN.

They renewed their vows on October 13, 1957, in the church of the Holy Name, Wausau. James preceded Kathy in death on November 20, 1990. Kathy never remarried or dated, after the loss of the “love of her life”.

Together Kathy and Jim had two children. James “Jimmy” Heisler Jr, who preceded Kathy in death on November 8, 2011. And their second child Jeff Heisler, Las Vegas, NV, who survives.

Kathy loved all animals, but had a fondness for Irish Setter dogs. As a hobby Kathy had shown several Irish Setter dogs and in return received several awards. Additionally, and as another hobby, Kathy enjoyed southwest and Native American themed artifacts, which she collected.

During her life, Kathy had worked for multiple employers. Her employment generally centered around customer service positions and/or convenience store management positions. She was presented many company awards for her work ethic and compassion.

In Las Vegas, NV, Kathy’s biggest enjoyment in retirement, was being the homemaker she did not have the opportunity to be earlier in her life, due to work and her husband (Jim) being disabled. She obtained joy always baking surprise foods and meals for her son, with whom she lived. Additionally, she was loved by all who she met (and especially the children of the neighborhood).
