Viola Ann Raduechel, 90, Schofield, died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Rennes Health and Rehab, Weston, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born August 4, 1927 in Lakewood, OH, daughter of the late George and Anna (Olsafsky) Vercimak. Viola’s first job was at the Wausau Paper Mill, Brokaw, where she met the love of her life, Walter Raduechel.

They were married on October 14, 1950 at a small rural church in Dancy, WI. Following her marriage, Viola held a variety of positions to include, working at Marathon Battery, cleaning at Backer & Backer Eye Clinic, cooking at Zion Lutheran School in Wausau for 20 years and then for Marriott Courtyard until 2014. Among her favorite pastimes, Viola loved cooking, polka dancing, arranging wedding bouquets and traveling and camping with Walter.

Two of her most memorable trips was a Caribbean Cruise with Walter and a trip to Italy with her dear friend, Patricia. Survivors include, two daughters, Cindi (Mark) Mugavero, Rothschild and Melody (Jay) Schoenborn, Schofield; one son, Jon (Lori) Raduechel, Wausau; seven grandchildren, Tania (Tom) Hargraves, Raquel (Jeff) Zibton, Shannon (Alissa) Lodholz, Nathanial (Brynn Kasten) Raduechel, Tyler (Sara) Raduechel, Cody Schoenborn and Kelsey (Shane Krenz) Raduechel; eight great-grandchildren, Austin and Cailin Hargraves, Dawson and Morgan Zibton, Brayton Robins, Cameron Lodholz, and Autumn and Kash Raduechel; two brothers, David (Barbara) Vercimak, Wautoma and Ronald Vercimak, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; one son, Gary Lee Raduechel; and one sister, Jean Gerstl.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Zach Holdorf will officiate.

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kramer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
