Raymond “Dale” Rawson, 83, Wausau, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Colonial Manor. He was born July 14, 1934 in Wausau to the late Harvey and Gladys (Drews) Rawson. On August 28, 1976 he married Betty Irene Jackson Krenz at Trinity Lutheran Church on Stewart Avenue in Wausau.

They later divorced but remained friends. Dale worked at Wisconsin Box Company in Wausau from high school graduation until his retirement. He loved country music and rock & roll and you could find him wherever there was live music.

He enjoyed being around people and liked to eat at church dinners where he could be with his friends. You rarely found Dale at home! Survivors include, two cousins, Virginia Lee Plonka, Indiana and Marcy Joss, Stevens Point, his former wife, Betty Irene Rawson, two step-daughters, Donna (fiancé Vernon Gray) Krenz and Julie (fiancé Vernon Gray) Krenz, step grandchildren Codie and Amanda Woytasik, Alonia and Olivia Lake, two cousins, Virginia Lee Plonka, Indiana and Marcy Joss, Stevens Point as well as many friends who meant the world to him.

Besides his parents and grandparents, Dale was preceded in death by his only sister Shirley Rawson. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.

Entombment will be at the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Online condolences may be expressed at www. petersonkraemer.com.
