Obituary for Kathleen Hagerty Horoszewski Kathleen Hagerty Horoszewski, 76, of Estero, FL, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. Formerly of Chapin, SC, she had been a resident of Estero since 2002. She was born March 5, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of George Edward and Brigid Frances (née Doohan) Hagerty.

She was particularly proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, travelling, gardening, genealogy, and spending time with family and friends over a good bottle of wine. Ms. Horoszewski is survived by her loving children, Meredith H. (Hugh) Lavery of Lawrenceville, NJ, and Roman G. (Laura) Horoszewski of Crosswicks, NJ; her brothers and sister, George (Judy) Hagerty of Rock Hall, MD, Michael (Susan) Hagerty of Louisville, CO, and Laurie (Gary) Shelton of Richardson, TX; her six cherished grandchildren, Caitlin, Patrick, Roman, Gwyneth, Gavin and Preston; and many dear friends, including Denis, Jackie and Michael; and her treasured dogs, Edward and Juliette. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roman D. Horoszewski in 2008.

Visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
