Kathleen “Kathie” Marie Baum, 67, of Omro and formerly of Appleton, passed peacefully at Omro Care Center on Friday, July 13, 2018. She was born in Waupaca to Claude and Florence Gyrion on June 7, 1951, who preceded her in death. Kathie worked over 25 years as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Geriatrics.

Her love of crocheting outfitted her grandchildren and many others keeping them warm with hats and scarves. One step into her home you would understand the love she had of snowmen. She was blessed with a large family.

Kathie is survived by her children; Kristine (Troy) Williams, Vincent (Cara) Baum, Cecelia (Randi) Brooks, Stephanie (Anthony) Springstroh, Danielle Baum. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, many brothers, sisters and a large extended family. Kathie was blessed to have many friends, especially Keith and Debbie Sargent.

A Celebration of Life for Kathie will be 7:00 PM on Friday July 20, 2018 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton with the Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday beginning at 4:00 PM until 6:45 PM, with a service to follow at 7:00 PM.

Kathie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at the Omro Care Center for the excellent care in their mother.
