Obituary for Kathryn Ann Palombi Kathryn Ann Palombi (1943-2018 ) Kathryn Ann Palombi age75, passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 30, 2018 after a stroke and courageous battle with cancer. Kathryn was born to Anthony and Muriel Palombi in Amsterdam, New York on April 4, 1943. She attended school in Galway, New York.

In the early 1980’s, she was employed at Provident Life Insurance Company and later went to work for Union Central Insurance which became Ameritas Insurance. Kathryn retired in 2013 and in April of that year married Danny Brooks at Lovers Lane Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. Kathryn loved reading scripture and watching sermons on television before church on Sunday mornings.

Her favorite past time though was preparing her signature authentic Italian Marinara sauce and Biscotti, recipes taught to her by her grandma. Kathryn loved her “Rag Doll Cat” Bella. Her other interests included listening to Frank Sinatra and artists from that era.

She was a caring and devoted Christian who was a faithful member at Lovers Lane Methodist Church for many years and later moved her membership to First United Methodist Church in Coppell where she remained a member until she was reunited with her Parents, Sister and Heavenly Father. Kathryn was preceded in death by her Mother, Muriel Graves Palombi, Father, Anthony Palombi and Sister Sylvia Palombi DiBenedetto and is pre-deceased by grandson Christopher Roybal. She is survived by her loving husband Danny Brooks, Daughter, Tami Gabel of Ft.

Lauderdale, FL, and her four Sons: Tony Warren and wife Karla of Alamogordo, NM, Larry Gabel and wife Denise of Dallas, TX, Sam Roybal and wife Missy of Corona, CA, and Andre Gabel and wife Cheryl of Arlington, TX. Aunt Jennie Palombi Zawisza of Amsterdam, New York and Niece Debbie DiBenedetto of Vernon,CT and Nephews Marc DiBenedetto of Hamden,CT and Larry DiBenedetto of South Windsor,CT. Kathryn also leaves in her legacy 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren amongst other relatives whom she loved dearly.

Memorial Service: 10 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 420 S. Heartz Rd, Coppell, TX 75019. There will be a reception in Wesley Hall at church following service. In honoring Kathryn wishes for cremation, there will be no viewing.

Final resting place will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery 453 Fairfield Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut on July 21, 2018. Kathryn was a long-time supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and therefore ask in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 50 Memphis, TN 38101-9929. Phone: 1-800-822-6344 Donations can also be made to Samaritan Purse in the name of her granddaughter Katie Hoyt, missionary in Niger, Africa.
