Obituary for Neola May Lewis Neola May Lewis passed away peacefully on September 24, 2018 at the age of 83 in Lewisville, Tx. She was born to John Clifton McGuire and Velma Sprague McGuire on October 16, 1934 on a small farm outside of La Harpe, Kansas. She attended a small country school in La Harpe and then moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she graduated from College – High School in 1952.

She attended Oklahoma State University initially and later completed her education as a Paralegal. She met Don Lewis while working for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville and they were married on April 15, 1956. Throughout their marriage, the family lived in Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.

Neola was a stay at home mom dedicated to her family. She enjoyed reading novels as well as sewing, needlepoint, knitting, and playing bridge. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Artesia, New Mexico and more recently a member of Creekwood Christian Church, Flower Mound, Texas.

Neola was also a member of PEO ( a philanthropic educational organization for women). She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 49 years. Neola is survived by three children, Steve (wife Susan), Michael, and daughter Tina Mound (husband Rick), four grandchildren, Bryan, Nicole, Matthew, Trey and great grandson, Grayson.
