BOUNTIFUL – Kathryn Dillon Robertson, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born February 16, 1930, in Kamas, Summit County, Utah. She was the 13th of 14 children born to Flora Belle Potts and Edward Alvin Dillon.

The first 12 years of Kathryn’s life were spent on a farm in Kamas, Utah. She was very close to her family, and maintained a close and loving relationship with each one of her siblings throughout her entire life. She lived most of her life (45 years) in Long Beach, California.

Kathryn also lived in Charleston, South Carolina; Kirkland, Washington; Kaysville, Utah; and Centerville, Utah. She spent the last 17 months of her life in Bountiful, Utah. Kathryn married the love of her life George Robertson on June 17, 1950 in Long Beach, California.

She worked as a PBX operator and secretary for several years. She became a full time mother of three children, Martin G., Kenneth Dillon, and Lawana Kay. She supported her children in all their endeavors including music lessons, dance lessons, sports, church and school activities, and education.

Kathryn was a loving wife and mother always willing to sacrifice for her family. After her children were grown, Kathryn worked as a pharmacist’s assistant for many years. She enjoyed the senior years of her life, being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Kathryn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was blessed to have been sealed to her husband and children for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Kathryn served in the presidency of the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations.

She especially enjoyed her years serving with the youth. She enjoyed music, live theatre, movies, sporting events, traveling, reading, home decorating, needlepoint and spending time with friends and family. She with her family loved California living, beach parties, and pool parties in her own back yard.

She also loved and looked forward to the Dillon Family reunions. She was known as the life of the party, beloved by everyone. She is survived by two sons, Martin G. (WillaMae) Robertson of Charleston, South Carolina and Kenneth Dillon (Cindy) Robertson of Zephyrhills, Florida; one daughter, Lawana Kay (Grant) Eggertsen of Centerville, Utah; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Robertson, and all 13 of her siblings. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.

Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
