Kathryn L. “Babs” Schnur, 84, of Butler, died Sunday evening, September 23, 2018, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. Born October 15, 1933 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Rose (Wetick) Kuciak. Babs was co-owner along with her late husband Willis of Schnur’s Greenhouse.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and also the Christian Mother at St. Mary’s. Surviving are her children: James (Cindy) Schnur, Barbara (Richard) Massella, Anna (Greg) Angert, all of Butler; Jerome (Lisa) Schnur of Chicora; Marlene (Roy) Thomas of Butler. 9 grandchildren: Gregory (Linsey) Schnur, Scott (Rachel) Schnur, Roman Schnur, Levi Schnur, Samantha Schnur, Aubrey Schnur, Michael LeGrand, Brittany LeGrand and Dakota Thomas.

7 great grandchildren: Dylan, Olivia, Will, Caleb, Braylon, Brynlee and Jordan. Her in-laws: Kenneth (Nancy) Schnur, Arthur Miller, Agnes Widenhofer and Eileen Kuciak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis R. Schnur, whom she married June 21, 1952, he died March 25, 2017; also 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
