Mrs. Kathryn Marie Lavarnway Gifford, age 82, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on November 21, 2018, at her home. She was born on April 14, 1936, to the late Henry George Lavarnway and Elsie Marie Jacquette Lavarnway. She is survived by two daughters, Jacquette M. Gifford and Christine Marie Dillman; two sons, Robert L. Gifford and Alan J. Gifford; three grandchildren, Nathen Dillman, Amy Dillman, and Ashley Gifford; and two great-grandchildren, Brenden Dillman and Gene Holiday.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lincoln Gifford; her parents, the late Henry George Lavarnway and Elsie Marie Jacquette Lavarnway; and a grandson, Anthony J. Gifford. There will be no formal services. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (www.
