Katie (Booth) Whisenant passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born on August 5, 1926, in Gray Eagle, WV, to George W and Ada (Perry) Booth. Both preceded her in death.

She is survived by three daughters, Judith (Rev. Harry) Tolhurst of Delphos, Gloria (Ed) Stewart of Piedmont,SC, and Rosemary (James) Lehan of Shriveport, Louisiana; two sons, James (Anita) Whisenant, of Mesa, AZ and Carl (Brenda) Whisenant of Belfry, KY; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 7 brothers Nathan, Garland, Morton, Woodrow, Nelson, Morris and George; three sisters, Minnie Stepp, Julie Diamond and Mae Watson and one grandson.

Katie retired at AR hospital after 21 years of service and worked as an STNA Home Health Aide. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Delphos and was a past member of Chattaroy Church of God in Chattaroy, WV. She was a member of the Williamson West Virginia Democratic Women.

Katie enjoyed line dancing, gardening, rock and roll music and crocheting. She was a visual artist and was a big fan of Bob Ross. Funeral services will be Friday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to the service at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.

Burial will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Perry Cemetery in Beauty KY. Friends may call on Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 4-8 at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Delphos.
