Ruth M. Kemper, 93, of Delphos, passed away on Monday, May 7,2018, at St. Rita’s Medical Center She was born August 12, 1924, in Delphos to Frank and Ethel (Fair) Kohorst. In 1942, she was united in marriage to Delmer Kemper who preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by two sons, Don (Darlene) Kemper, and Del (Scarlett) Kemper, both of Delphos; two daughters, Beverly Hale of Delphos and Marilyn (Ron Jones) Tracy-Jones; two sisters, Marge Kohorst and Ethel “Betty” Bridgeman, both of Delphos; thirteen grandchildren, and thirty three great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, David Kemper. Ruth was a member of St. John’s, and will be remembered as the long time manager of Delphos St. John’s cafeteria. She loved to read and play games.

Ruth was a very loving mother and grandmother and loved to support her grandchildren’s endeavors taking special interest in their sporting events. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Delphos. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, from 2:00 – 8:00 at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Parish Foundation.
