Obituary for Katy Kathleen Ann “Katy” Brockett, 91, of Ashland, passed away Thursday evening, December 27, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation center. She was born November 1, 1927 in Akron, Ohio the daughter of the late Roger and Grace (Patch) Brockett. She was raised on farms in the Westfield and Le Roy, Ohio areas and graduated from Westfield High School in 1945 and from Ashland college in 1949.

She retired from WCI Tappan Co., in Mansfield after 37 years of service and was a member of the Tappan Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed golf, wood working and tracing her family history. She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Mary Ann) Brockett of Garrettsville, OH and Roger (Carolann) Brockett of Lexington, OH; and several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Barbara (Brockett) Tillotson and Phyllis (Brockett) Smarto; two brothers, David and Bruce Brockett and two infant sisters and one infant brother. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Randolph, Ohio. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice, 1171 E. Main St. Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family by visiting denbowfh.com. Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting with the arrangements.
