Robert “Benny” Benson, 87, of Wooster, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice, after a short battle with cancer. A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Wooster, Ohio 44691. Bob was born October 29, 1931 in Fredericksburg, Ohio to Charles and Beulah {Tracey} Benson. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He was assigned to the USS Los Angeles and the USS Bisbee during his military service. He married Doris Davis in January 1958. Bob retired from Rubbermaid after over 20 years.

He was a member of the Ripley Church of Christ. Bob loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister and brother. The family would like to thank the staff at West View Healthy Living and LifeCare Hospice for their loving care.
