Nicholas Edward Kopylchak age 81, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 20, 1936 in Skyesville, PA. , the son of Wascho and Elizabeth (Furdak) Kopylchak.

He was a graduate of Homerville High School class of 1954. He had been a resident of Ashland since 1960. Nicholas had been employed with Pentair as a laser welder for 45 years before retiring in 2000, after retirement he worked for Drug Mart for 8 years.

He attended Park Street Brethren Church, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and National Guard. On July 2, 1960 he married Patricia Ann Braden who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Terri (Joe) Keck, of Ashland, Kim (Scott) Schilling of Savannah, and Deb (Jim) Esbenshade of Ashland; his grandchildren, Josh and Nathaniel Keck, Robert and Lisa Phillips, Seth Schilling and Nicole Coughlin; along with his 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, a sister, and his mother and father in-law, Barbara and Paul Braden and sister in-law, Goldie Braden. Mr. Kopylchak enjoyed watching wildlife, scratching off Lottery tickets, eating at the Dairy Bar and Kelly’s Deli. Graveside services will be held at Ashland County Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Nate Bebout officiating.
