LeaAnna Hartman Etter, 92, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Brookwood Place, her residence since 2001. LeaAnna was born on October 30, 1926, in Ashland, to Ray Ernest and Mildred (Buchanan) Hartman. LeaAnna lived in Cleveland over 40 years and was married to Howard Etter in 1973.

LeaAnna is predeceased by her husband Howard, her parents and two sisters Eleanor Jane and Charlotte (Ben) Camp. She is survived by niece Vickie (Rudy) Rudloff, nephew Lloyd (Pat Hose) Camp, and nephew Doug (Carolyn) Camp, and their children, including Greg (Ruth) Camp and Charlene (Rafael) Gierat. LeaAnna graduated from Ashland High School in 1944 and Ashland College in 1948.

She has been an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 70 years. Her interests included reading, crosswords, cross-stitch, computer games, letter writing, gardening and all the activities at Brookwood Place. In 2010, LeaAnna was recognized as the Outstanding Senior Citizen of the year for Ashland County by the District 5 Area Agency on Aging.

LeaAnna was selected based on her volunteer work at Brookwood Place, Montgomery School and her church. The family would like to thank all her friends at Trinity Lutheran Church, especially Ken and Nancy Oberholtzer, and all the wonderful health care associates at Brethren Care. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Eric Riesen officiating.
