Keith’s Obituary Keith Strand, 63, died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his home in Centerville, SD. Celebration of life services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Scandia Lutheran Church, Centerville, SD. Memorial donations may be directed to the Centerville Fire Department or to the Centerville Ambulance.

Keith Alan Strand was born October 24, 1955 in Sioux City, IA to Orville and Grace (Dahlin) Strand. He attended Wakonda Country School. In middle school, he began attending school in Centerville and graduated from High School in 1973.

He married Judy Maine and they were blessed with their two children, Kyle and Jessica. Keith lived his entire life in Centerville. He had recently retired and had plans of returning to the fertilizer plant on a part time basis.

He devoted 37 years to the Centerville Fire Department and was a team member of the Ambulance as well. He enjoyed mechanics and could fix anything that needed fixing. Keith loved spending time with his family and friends.

He loved fishing for catfish and camping. He was a positive man who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Keith is survived by his children, Kyle (MiKayla) Strand and their son, Kasen, and Jessica Strand and her children, Trevor and Ayanna; his brother, Glenn Strand, Sun City, AZ; 3 sisters, Mary Voegeli, LuAnn (Ron) Swanson, and Netta (Ron) Hustrulid, all of Beresford, SD; 2 sisters-in-law, Shirley Strand and Kay Strand, both of Beresford, SD; and many close family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Grace; 2 brothers, Jerry Strand and Bob Strand; brother-in-law, Jerry Voegeli; and nephew Jason Strand.
