Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth Arthur Deeter, 88, Bismarck, passed away on March 19, 2019, at Touchmark Assisted Living. A private family celebration is planned. Kenneth was born June 10, 1930, in Rugby, ND, the son of Arthur and Mae Deeter.

He married Catherine Duchscher and they settled on the Deeter farm north of Rugby in 1949. Ken was awarded Farmer of the Year in the Rugby area, reflecting his vision of progressive farming, including the planting of shelter-belts and the breeding of Angus cattle. They moved to Minot in 1962, where they remained until the late 70s, eventually retiring in Tucson, AZ.

Ken is survived by his six children, Dillys (Bill) Bach, Colleen (Mark) Thompson, Conrad (Deb) Deeter, Terry (Marilyn) Deeter, Jenise (Michael) Buckner, and Christopher Deeter (fiancée Kathy); 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Catherine. Kenneth’s family wishes to thank Touchmark, whose thoughtful care enriched his final years.
