Kenneth Gruver December 19, 2018 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kenneth N. “Ken” Gruver, age 91, of Germantown, OH, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2018, with family by his side. He was born in Dayton, OH, on May 7, 1927, to the late Grace (Hennings) and John Gruver. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Barbara (Durr) Gruver.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Kurt Gruver (fiance, Donna) and his children, Sarah (Jerry) Chandler, Kelly (Peter) Davio, Timothy Gruver, Jonathan Gruver ~ and their mother Colleen Gruver, and Durr Gruver and his daughter, Lee Ann (David) Coventry; 2 great-grandchildren, Johanna & Micah. Ken and his wife were childhood sweethearts and were part of a Tom” Thumb Wedding at the age of 3. He was a retired graphic designer and printer.

He and his wife collected and sold antiques for many years. Ken was a Korean Conflict Veteran serving in both North and South Korea. A Sergeant in the Marine Corps he was a Purple Heart recipient.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 12:30 p.m., Saturday January 26th at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 123 S. Main St., Germantown, OH. Entombment at David’s Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
