Obituary for Kenneth L. Krempp Dateline Jasper, IN Kenneth L. Krempp, age 87, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Indiana. Kenny was born in Jasper, Indiana, on September 3, 1931 to Edwin and Marcella (Hochgesang) Krempp. He married Jane Schneider on August 27, 1955 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

Mr. Krempp graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. Degree in Business, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a U.S. Army veteran and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Jasper High School. He was president and chairman of Krempp Lumber and Construction as well as one of the founding members of United Cabinet Incorporated which became Aristokraft.

He was a director at Indiana Furniture and involved in various local businesses and organizations in the community. He served on the Jasper School Board for several years. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kenny served as lector and a historian for the parish.

He was instrumental in getting the church registered on the United States National Register of Historic Places. He also was responsible for nominating St. Joseph’s nativity stained glass window which was used by the United States Historical Society for their annual stained glass plate. He and his wife received the Brute Award in 1997.

Kenny loved spending time with God, family, and friends. He enjoyed quail hunting, fishing, gardening, local history, the St. Louis Cardinals, and IU. Special to him were his canoe trips to the Quetico National Park in Canada and his pheasant hunting trips to South Dakota.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Krempp, Jasper, IN, two daughters, Kenwyn (Bob) Kealing, Indianapolis, IN, Karen (Eric) Olinger, Huntingburg, IN, three sons, Andy (Brenda) Krempp, Jasper, IN, John (Shari) Krempp, Jasper, IN, Bill (Missy) Krempp, Jasper, IN. 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death is one brother Stanley G. Krempp.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth Krempp will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday November 17, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. on Friday November 16, 2018 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
