Obituary for Kevin M. Ates Kevin M. Ates, 43 of Cape Girardedau, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born September 18, 1974 in Cape Girardeau to Mike and Nancy (Roman) Ates. Kevin was a 1992 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School and worked for Briggs and Stratton in Poplar Bluff.

He is survived by his father, Mike Ates of Cape Girardeau; half sister, Cheri West; uncle, Steve Ates; aunts, Diana (Rodger) Mouser and Shirley Ates. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Ates. A graveside service will be Monday, July 23, 2018 at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery with Rev.
