Obituary for Merry Gay Lorberg Merry Gay Lorberg, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Aug. 2, 1924, at Bear Creek, Alabama, daughter of Oscar and Ollie Faulkner.

She and Martin Gus Lorberg Jr., were married Aug. 31, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec.

15, 1982. She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and taught at Alma Schrader School in Cape Girardeau. She was a docent at the Glenn House and was a volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Martin Gus Lorberg III, and a brother, Brooks Faulkner of Smyrna, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

The family will have a private committal service. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum alongside the remains of her husband, M.G. Lorberg Jr. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Merry Gay Lorberg please visit our Sympathy Store.
