Kimberly “Kim” Sue Russell, 53, of Carterville, died Friday, November 9, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2018 at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville with Suzette Coffey officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service on Monday.

Kim was born September 20, 1965 in Herrin to David Stinson and Elois Mae (Edwards) Russell. She is survived by her mother, Lois Boner of Carterville; father, David (Camilla) Russell of West Frankfort; sister, Brandy (Danielle) Hasenbank of Seattle, WA; brothers, Mac (David) Vaughn of Tampa, FL and Curly (Jill) Vaughn of Diamond, IL; niece, Breanna McAnelly of Seattle, WA; uncle, Virgil Russell of West Frankfort; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and aunts, Barbara Davis and Sue Homoya.

She honorably served our country in the U.S. Army, serving at Ft. Campbell and Ft. Dix.

Kim worked at Pepsi, Crown Line Boats and Tuck Tape for many years.
