Kyle E. Smart, age 37, of Spring Grove, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2018 at his home. He was born July 15, 1981 in Sidney, Ohio to Charles and Julie (Howell) Smart. Kyle was a graduate of Grant High School in Fox Lake Class of 2000.

In high school he was on the wrestling team. Kyle was very handy. He could build or fix anything around the home and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need.

He had a great zest for life, lived life on the edge and was loved by all who knew him. Kyle is survived by his parents; his longtime love, Alexis Christensen; a brother, Aaron (Jamie) Smart; a nephew, Tyler and niece, Reagan; his maternal grandmother, Syble Andrews; maternal grandfather, Mr. & Mrs. James Howell; and many family members in Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tina; and paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Smart.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 4 pm until 8 p.m. at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL 60081. Visitation will resume Wednesday the 10th, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m.funeral service at Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church, 43 Grass Lake Road, Lake Villa, IL 60046. Kyles wishes were to help his mentor, “Jimbo” who is battling cancer.
