Obituary for Mr. L. Ronald Neitzel L. Ronald Neitzel, 76, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Ron was born on February 13, 1942 in Milwaukee the son of the now late Louis and Verna (Schneider) Neitzel. He was a graduate of St. Norbert College with the class of 1964, earning a B.A. Degree in English.

On August 7, 1965 he married his best friend Virginia “Ginny” Springer in Mosinee. Upon his retirement, he always enjoyed a good book and could be found with one in his hand. He was a charter and dedicated member of the Allouez Kiwanis and greatly enjoyed giving of his time and many years of faithful service to whatever needed to be done.

Ron had many interests in life~ too many to mention but he loved his family and being able to spend time with them at their cottage. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many who will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Ron is survived by his loving wife Ginny, his children Marci (Steve) Thiry, Candie (Steve) Albers, Jim (Lynn) Neitzel, Jeff “Chicken” (Eunice) Neitzel, 4 grandchildren Marisa, Amie, Nathan and Nicholas, one sister Laureen Neitzel, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law Georgean and Dave Wirsbinski.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Ben and Tillie Springer. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday (Today), May 16, 2018 at Resurrection Catholic Church 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez.

A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the church until the time of Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. with Msgr. James Feely officiating.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy a Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to Unity Hospice for all of the dignified care and kindness shown to Ron. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Rishi Subbarayan for all of his efforts and compassion.
