Mr. Lamar Rudolph Peters, Jr. known as Buddy, 81 of Ehrhardt, laid down his crown and took a hold of his wings on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville. Funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in the Ehrhardt Cemetery.

Lamar was born in Lodge, SC and was the son of the late Lamar R. Peters, Sr. and Hazel Ehrhardt Peters. Lamar was a skilled craftsman and a jack of all trades. He loved to hunt and fish and to always do for others.

Surviving are: his children, William “Billy” Peters (Olga) of Islamorada, Florida, Larry Peters (Theresa) of Walterboro, Kevin Peters of Alaska and Terry Peters (Brittany) of Bamberg; brothers, Jerry Peters of Charleston, Tony Peters of Greenville, and Dale Peters of Texas; sisters, Grace Strobel of Summerville and Gail Davis of Lexington; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Lamar Rudolph Peters III and Gary Peters. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at THE BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORY, EHRHARDT CHAPEL, 2515 Lowcountry Hwy.
