Larry Bumgardner, 73, of Burlington, died at 11:18 am Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at his home in Burlington. Born October 24, 1945, in Wapello, he was the son of Max Delzell and Lillian Laurene Buffington Bumgardner. Larry worked for Case for 37 years in the Paint Department.

He attended High School at Wapello Community High School as well as Burlington High School. Larry was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Eagle’s Club. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, teaching kids how to fish at Crapo Park and to kid and joke around with friends and family.

Larry loved to sing his favorite old songs and Vegas shows. Survivors include son, Jason (Heather) Bumgardner of St. Helens, IL, son, Max (Christinia) Bumgardner of Petersburg, IL, daughter, Natalie (Chris) Eid of Fort Madison, six grandchildren: Dustin, Gage, Bryce, Skylar, Dayton and Alexander; sister, Patty Peck of Beloit, WI. Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his two sisters, Linda Peterson and Sally Dinsmoor.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM with the family to receive friends Friday, December 21, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. The funeral service for Larry Bumgardner will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Jewett officiating.

Burial will be in Wapello Cemetery.
