Larry E. Blair, 79, of Cochranton, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Meadville Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born December 11, 1939, in Clarion County, he was the son of Arthur and C. Ruth Wells Blair. He married Martha (Marty) Dyer on May 4, 1963 in Harrisville.

Larry graduated from Redbank Valley High School in New Bethlehem. After 40 years, he retired as a commercial water well driller for Hydro Group formerly Layne-New York Company. Larry loved tinkering in the garage with his grandchildren.

He enjoyed working on antique tractors. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Martha (Marty) Blair; three children, Steven Blair and his wife, Rose, of Erie, Jill Ferguson and her husband, Fred, of Transfer and Keith Blair of Cochranton; two grandchildren, Curtis and Kevin Ferguson; a step-granddaughter, Kylie Aleksandrowicz; a brother, Kenneth Blair and his wife, Barbara, of Brookville; a sister, Sharon Shaffer and her husband, Jim, of New Bethlehem; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Shick.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Herman Cemetery in New Bethlehem.
