Larry Eugene Pierce, Sr., 79, of Herrin, passed away 6:51 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. Larry was a driver for the Williamson County Highway Department for 23 years. He also worked many years at Koppers Tie Plant in Carbondale.

He attended First Apostolic Church in Cambria. Larry was born September 3, 1939 in Williamson County, IL to Jake Pierce and Alice Edith (Inchcliff) Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to family and friends that checked on him daily, especially, Bobby “Bucky” & Sharon Grisson, Jack Inchcliff, & Jim & Sue Bresett. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev.

Jim Rutherford officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blairsville City Cemetery in Blairsville.

Memorial donations may be made to First Apostolic Church, 402 North Maple Street, Cambria, IL 62915; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
