Larry Joe Gardner, 76, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Harston’s Collision Repair, Kirsch, Federal Mogul, Detrex, Campbell Chevrolet and Martin Auto and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a son of the late Lowell Edwin Gardner and Lola Marie Dodson Gardner.

He is survived by his wife: Peggy Stamps Gardner, Scottsville, KY; 1 son: Wesley Joe Gardner and wife, Tania, Scottsville, KY; 1 brother: Lattie Gardner, Scottsville, KY; 1 grandchild: Kayde Jo Gardner; 3 brothers-in-law: Randy Stamps and wife, Kay, Scottsville, KY; Phil Stamps and wife, Rose and Rex Stamps, all of Tipton, IN; 2 special cousins: Patricia Turner and Sandra Meador, both of Scottsville, KY; Several nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by 3 sisters-in-law: Wanda Gardner, Louise Gaddis and Martha Douglas. Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Meador officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
